Ladybird

So I was at the Riverside festival in Leicester last weekend we we came across the most gorgeous jewellery stall. This little ladybird was just crying out for a home so Ryan very kindly went back a bought it for me the next day!

Ema Kelly is the brain child behind Duck in a Bucket designs and you can view their full range of products from cake decorations to cufflinks by clicking here

After studying the glass craft at De Montfort university she was hooked and has been doing it every since building up an impressive CV including winning a 'Young Ambassador for The Prince's Trust' award in 2009 and more recently she was selected as a 'Craft & Design Awards Finalist'. If the shoe fits...

I am so excited that London College of the Arts teamed up with New Look to create some of the sexist shoes around and guess what....they have just hit the shops!

The challenge was set for these budding young designers to come up with the new designs back in March 2010 and the four winning students from the MA Fashion Footwear course can now admire there work in one of the most popular high street retailers of today.

Overall winner Chang (Ralf) Seok Ko who produced three styles using a bleached denim technique with hand frayed raw edges will play an integral role in the craftsmanship and production process of his shoes and gain the opportunity to travel overseas and see his designs made up by one of New Look’s suppliers.

This stunning yellow and blue wedge is one of my favourite shoes of all time, though not entirely practical, they might look good siting on my bedroom shelf instead of a bunch of flowers.

Some beautiful little crafts I found today at some of the market stalls near my house....

Are they brogues, trainers , wedge sandals, smart, scruffy, beach or club? Who cares what the answers to any of these questions are, all that you need to know is that they are this seasons shoe and they have been brought to us by none other then forward thinking fashion house Prada. First seen on the Milan catwalk last September they are now available to buy in men and women's versions but you have to be quick as they have already sold out across London.

Mixed reviews have been given amongst the critics but I have to admit, being a massive fan of androgynous style...I adore them and would have them on order this second if my bank balance would allow. A totally trendy summer update from my flat brogue boots which are now getting a little bit tired, scruffy and really quite smelly.

Now being a student I am never going to afford these beauties but check out my favourite high street versions below....

Urban Outfitters £95
Topshop £60

Mr. Shoes £59.99

Topman £80

Rokit vintage £65 (www.rokit.co.uk)

Urban outfitters £85

Pokeboy

Words cannot describe the excitement, please excuse me while I go back to 1996...

Mannequin madness

Ok so I was in Zara’s flagship store on Oxford Circus the other week when I stumbled across this monstrosity....

I kid you not...the other glove was hanging out of the back pocket.

I literally couldn’t believe my eyes and needed to share it with you all. If anyone from the Zara visual merchandising team is reading this I am urging you to personally go into the store and change the display yourself. Unless your main customer base are now all avid fans of the village people (with a particular love of the song YMCA) then it is offensive and rude.
