Object of lust

I am a sucker for a vintage store (regardless of the price, much to the disapointment of my bank balance) and during my travels in Rome I thought I had died and gone to heaven when we stumbled upon a treasure cove of old battered goodies. Check out the cute structured bag I grabbed for only 45 Euros! Just enough like the 'Alexa' Mulberry (that i will never be able to afford but totally lust after) to have me making the purchase without even looking at the price tag. Bags are reducing in size this season and reverting back to the simple lady like shapes we love, so I have my fingers crossed this will be my new shopping companion all season.

Ashish AW10

The Ashish AW10 collection came into the Brown's web studio office this week there was, quite rightly, a buzz of excitement oozing from everyone.

“I saw a Gypsy girl outside the Gare du Nord in her pyjamas
and a granny knit,”

said Ashish of his inspiration for the collection.

The usual sequins and geometric shapes adorned the catwalk lighting up the faces of the front rowers, but unusually for Ashish this was teamed with chunky knits and heavy wool overcoats to create an ingenious clash of style that worked so well. My favourite piece from the whole collection was the long single breasted wool coat that is available to buy now from brownsfashion.com

My inspirational weekend in Rome

Blogging this and that seams a bit daunting when you first start, but I have to admit I am very excited to enter this world which is sure to become my new addiction. What better way to dive into the pool of bloggers than with my recent weekend spent in Rome. The buzz of excitement and fashion was all around me and the architecture was amazing, almost enough to persuade me to change my career path (but not quite)! Take a look at some of the brilliant photos that are inspiring me as I embark upon my second year retail buying and designing at Demontfort university in Leicester. I have decided that the theme of my next project will be beautiful corruption....what do we all think?? x
